Albert Lee Wright Jr Memorial Migrant Scholarship

Amount: $3000.00

Criteria: Must be a migrant student, be a dedicated student, be a graduating senior and demonstrate financial need.

Application Requirements: Show proof of Migrant Education eligibility, 2 letters of recommendation, a personal essay of at least 500 words describing applicant's background along with career and personal goals, and why he/she should receive this assistance; copy of high school transcript and proof of acceptance and/or enrollment at a post-secondary degree-granting institution as well as financial need documentation.

Tulare County Cattlemen's Association

This scholarship is based on academic achievement, agricultural involvement and leadership skills.  Applications available in the Counseling office.  Due March 1st.  Various Scholarships available ranging from $1000- $1500


Sons of Italy Western Foundation Academic 2018 Scholarship

Amount:  $500 - $5,000

Criteria:  Applicants must be wholly or partly of Italian descent. Selection will be based on scholastic record, activities evidencing leadership, financial need, written personal goals statement, Essay of Italian Origin, and letters of recommendation. Must be enrolled in an accredited Trade School College, University, or Community College for the fall of 2018. MUST BE POSTMARKED BY MARCH 1, 2018

Tulare County Dairy Children Scholarship

Amount:  $750, $500, $250

Criteria:  High school senior, must be a resident of Tulare County, plan on attending a 2 or 4 year college, minimum 3.0 GPA.  Student must have a parent that is currently employed on a dairy. Students whose parents OWN a dairy are NOT eligible.

Application Process:  Complete and submit application along with required documentation.  The application must be EMAILED to by deadline date.

Tulare County Farm Bureau Scholarships (Various Scholarships)

Amount: $500-$1,000

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Student must attend school currently or have graduated from a school in Tulare County to be eligible.
  • Undergraduate and Graduate students may be considered.
  • Must complete and return application
  • Must submit two letters of recommendation (from different individuals)
  • Must submit school transcripts by March 1 deadline.

Tulare County Dairy Women Scholarship

Criteria:  High school senior, must be a resident of Tulare County, plans to attend a 2 or 4 year college, must have a career goal that relates to the agriculture industry, minimum of a 3.0 GPA. (Previous winners are not eligible).

Catholic Daughters of Americas-Porterville Chapter #1521

Amount: $400.00

Criteria: Plan on attending Porterville College, be a member of St Anne's Parish (Including St. Anne's Church, Holy Cross Church, Blessed Miguel Pro Mission in Terra Bella, Mater Dolorosa Mission and St. Maximilian Kolbe Mission). Application must be accompanied by the student's transcripts.

Tulare County ACSA Charter Scholarship

Amount:  Varies

Criteria:  High school senior, minimum 2.5 GPA, parent or legal guardian must have a current membership with the Tulare County Charter of A.C.S.A.

Application Process: Complete the application and mail it along with 3 letters of recommendation from counselor, teacher and an adviser of school, community or church group and an official transcript to Valerie Brown at 640 W. Cross St., Tulare, CA 93274.

Ruiz 4 Kids (Application opens in December)

Amount:  TBD

Criteria:  2.5 GPA minimum for trade school or community college; 3.0 GPA min for 4 year university; live within 35 miles of Dinuba or Tulare.

Cabrillo Civic Clubs Scholarship

Amount:  $500

Criteria:  High school senior, must be of Portuguese descent and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.  Must have maintained a minimum 3.50 GPA throughout their four years, participated in 3 extracurricular activities.

Application Process:  Complete and submit the application along with required documentation.

Deadline:  March 15, 2018


California Wine Grape Growers Foundation Scholarship

Amount: UC or CSU 4 year program- two (2) $8,000; CA Community College - four (4) $2,000

Criteria: Parents/Legal Guardian must be employed by the CA Wine Grape Growers.

Tulare County Replacement Heifer Sale Scholarship

Criteria: Must be a graduating senior enrolled in or planning to enroll in a four year accredited college or university, community college or vocational training school; participated in the Replacement Heifer project for at least tow years; GPA of at least 3.0 (copy of transcripts is mandatory); completed scholarship application; essay describing participation in Replacement Heifer project; list of activities and/or work experience; indicated parents occupation and income amount.

John Futrell Memorial Scholarship

Amount:  (25)  $1,000

Criteria: HS senior, financial need, must meet SJVC admission requirements, supply one letter of recommendation.

Application Process:  Complete application and submit a 200 word essay on your commitment to education and a description of your career goals.

Deadline:  March 30, 2018 @ 5:00 p.m.


Springville Women's Club

Amount: $1000.00 each for 2 girls

Criteria: Any senior girl who is a graduate of Springville School and graduating from high school in 2018, 3 sealed letters of recommendation, copy of transcripts and 1 page essay

Application must be postmarked no later than March 30, 2018

Ray Jones Scholarship Fund 2018

Amount:  1 - $5,000  5 - $2,500

Criteria:  Be of CA Indian descent, graduating senior with a minimum 2.0 GPA, graduate from a high school in Merced, Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Kings or Tulare county, demonstrate financial need and seek enrollment in a postsecondary degree program at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.

Tulare County Cattlewomen Scholarship

Amount: 1-$1500; 3-$1000

Criteria: Graduating high school senior pursuing a two or four year degree in the agriculture field with a livestock emphasis preferred.

Roma Lodge 1573 Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 member; $500 non member of Italian Descent

Criteria:  Graduating high school senior, minimum 3.0 GPA, current Roma Lodge member or of Italian Descent and all additional criteria qualifications (see application).

2018 Lower Tule River Irrigation District & Pixley Irrigation District Water Resources Scholarship

Amount:  Up to $10,000

Criteria:  Students enrolled in a course of study related to Ag and water resources, plans to attend an accredited four-year college or university. Preference to residents and landowners of the Lower Tule River Irrigation District and Pixley Irrigation District, or residents of Tulare County. See application for further requirements.

Darden Architects, Inc. Scholarship
Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Completed Scholarship Application; Official School Transcripts; Two (2) Letters of Recommendation from teachers, counselors or school administrators; Proof of acceptance for full time enrollment at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo Architecture program.

Athnet Sports Recruiting Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000

Criteria: Former high school athletes who are enrolled as a full-time student at a two or four-year college. You do not need to be an athlete at the college level.
